The Federation of Nepali Journalists is shocked and saddened by the sad news of the untimely death of veteran journalist Shesh Muhammad Hanif (Gora Miyan) at the age of 64.

Miyan, who suddenly collapsed at his residence on Main Road, Byas Municipality-2, Tanahun on Magh 20, was immediately taken to the nearby Ratnahari Hospital for further treatment, but was not treated there. After treatment failed, he was taken to Manipal Hospital in Pokhara, Kaski for further treatment. Miyan, who was returned home on Magh 21 in the afternoon after his health condition did not improve, passed away on the same evening.

Miyan, who had been active in journalism in Tanahun for a long time, was a member of the Tanahun branch of the Federation. Miyan, who had represented the branch in the Federation as a central representative several times, was also the president of the Tanahun Press Union. With Miyan's death, the Nepali journalism sector has lost a skilled, combative and experienced journalist, and the Federation has lost an active member.

The Federation pays heartfelt tribute to the late Miyan and prays for the eternal peace of the departed soul. It also expresses its deepest condolences, wishing that the bereaved family members may find the strength to bear this loss in this hour of grief.
